Notes:
“Two of the most expressive and prolific figures in jazz history, multi-reed instrumentalist James Moody and trumpeter, composer & arranger Thad Jones have a combined discography that includes over 670 separate studio and live recordings with most of the genre’s finest luminaries [...] Their complete collaborative output consists of the two sessions included on this release” (taken from the liner notes).

-Great Day
"Some good, sometimes excellent sax and flute work from the always reliable James Moody. This was a period in which he was dabbling sometimes in soul jazz and other times in hard bop, but mostly played mainstream, straight-ahead originals, standards, and ballads."
